We’re a mixed-voice choir based in Epsom and have been going since February 2012. There are currently around 30 singers of all ages and abilities and new members are always welcome, there’s no audition. We sing during term-time only on the 3rd Sunday of the month at 09.30 mass at St Joseph’s R.C Church in Epsom, Surrey. Repertoire includes popular hymns as well as more challenging SATB arrangements.
As the St Josephs’s Singers we have sung for Her Majesty the Queen, Prince Philip and other royals at the Epsom Derby Day and at concerts, festivals, charity fundraisers and professional gigs. We perform a varied repertoire that includes arrangements of pop classics, medleys from the musicals and modern, choral pieces. We rehearse separately on Thursday evenings – it’s open to everyone, you don’t have to belong to the parish – and it’s always a fun, social evening.
We’re a friendly bunch of all ages, backgrounds and nationalities. Do come along and if you like what you hear and fancy trying us out, please get in touch. Even if you’re thinking “I can’t sing to save my life” don’t worry, if you can speak then you can be taught to sing!
